Tamara Gangnus Art

Tamara Gangnus (b.1984, Germany) is a visual artist based in County Wexford, Ireland, working predominantly in painting and collage.

Her practice explores themes of transformation (of
people and environments) and nostalgia, weaving together moments that feel both familiar and fleeting. Drawing visual references from film, photographs, objects and magazines, she constructs scenes that hover between reality and fiction, stage sets suspended in time.

Her use of paint often carries a weightless, transient quality, as though each image has been pulled from the ether or drawn from the edges of memory.

Through this delicate balance of immediacy and reflection, her work invites viewers into half-remembered dreamscapes, spaces that evoke a sense of both what has been and what might yet come.
